Flexible operating options
At the heart of the SBM mobile impact crusher is its special drive concept. The REMAX 400 can be operated either with diesel-electric drive or a straight electric drive. This gives the user two options with which especially the cost efficiency of the crusher can be optimized and adapted to existing company logistics – optionally the crusher can operate self-sufficiently or alternatively the crusher can be powered direct from the power grid. With this principle, SBM is a pioneer and, for over 30 years, has advanced the technology with regard to its efficiency and operational reliability to an unparalleled level – ruggedness, stability and zero maintenance. This technology also demonstrates considerable advantages in the field because it affects the control of the crusher as well as the drive. With the omission of a coupling, a large-size electric engine drives the rotor. The associated fully electronic control of the crushing chamber enables reaction times in milliseconds, for instance for the necessary load-dependent control of the material flow and the feed rate. This has a significant influence on the production rate. Such direct influence on the crusher operation cannot be realized with diesel hydraulic or with clutch-based directly operated drives.
Optimum power yield
Responsible for the impressive crushing performance of the SBM REMAX 400 is the fully fledged 1300 crusher built around a forged rotor shaft. The power availability at the rotor can be boosted to 170 % for a short time with the electric generator drive. For infinite production of every required finished product, the crusher has two impact rockers and adjustable rotor circumferential speed. The four impact bars of the rotor in the REMAX 400 can be used at different heights, which is achieved by offset locking grooves. The impact bars can be easily removed for replacement or additionally turned and reversed. As a result, the utilization of the impact bars is increased considerably and now amounts to up to 60 %. In a combination with a feed inlet measuring 1260 x 800 mm, the features of the REMAX 400 add up to a throughput rate up to 400 t/h. For this purpose, the periphery was reworked appropriately. All transfer points have been generously sized to eliminate any possibility of bottlenecks from crusher discharge to materials discharge belt. The optimized vibrating chute of the SBM impact crusher is lined with wear-resistant stainless steel.
Road transport made easy
In the basic model without secondary screen, the mid-range impact crusher from SBM comes to a total weight of not more than 40 t. With a systematic harmonization of all components, the dimensions of the predecessor could be optimized again. As a result, the transport height has been reduced to just 3.60 m with a maximum width of 3 m. The intelligent use of the compact dimensions is the precondition for realization of transport flexibility that is unparalleled among competitors in the crusher‘s class. For the current model of the REMAX 400, SBM supplies its proven dolly system. Here an equally weight-optimized three-axle model is sufficient for transport – transport on its own wheels. Here SBM offers a simple and low-cost solution for uncomplicated transport from site to site. The track-mounted crusher is ready for the road without any modifications, dismantling or licensing procedures in a very short time, making the use of this powerful impact crusher a cost-effective option even for smaller construction sites.
Optimized for every application
The possibilities for using the REMAX 400 can be widened with a large number of well thought-out additional options, all of which have been designed specifically for the impact crusher. They range from the grinding track, a rescreening unit in single-or double-deck design, the special banana shape of which in the screen deck guaranteeing clear-cut sizing of the finished product based on air separation of the oversize. A special feature is the hydraulically height-adjusted overbelt magnetic separator. The plant can be controlled intuitively with remote control and enables optional remote maintenance with a modem and external visualization with a tablet.
