IFAT 2014 is setting new standards
Effective recycling, clean drinking water and a responsible approach towards valuable resources – a total of 2939 exhibitors from 54 countries came together at IFAT 2012 to put on an inspiring display of innovations and solutions in the field of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. In 2014, the world’s largest environmental technology trade show, IFAT, which takes place in Munich from 05.- 09.05.2014, is setting new standards. The event will be even bigger than before, covering 230 000 m2 of exhibition space – that’s 15 000 m2 more than in 2012. Despite this expansion, there are still waiting lists for exhibitors in some segments. In terms of exhibitor numbers, too, new heights are being reached: a new record is expected, with around 3000 companies from 50 countries coming to exhibit here. A total of 56 joint stands from 13 countries will also be taking part. Silvia Fritscher, Exhibition Director of IFAT, is optimistic, predicting that “in this context the proportion of international exhibitors as compared to the previous events will expand still further. The response from the exhibitors, including in particular from international exhibitors, is tremendous.” At IFAT 2012 the proportion of exhibitors from outside Germany was 39 %.
