As the last two editions were dedicated to bauma and POWTECH and after we met many authors and readers, held interesting discussions and learned a lot of new things, the present edition will again provide three technical papers on very different topics. “North America’s mining industry in the spotlight” (from p. 32) deals both with exploration projects and important mining companies on this continent. Canada, Australia and the United States have the largest exploration budgets worldwide. Consolidation processes are in full swing – the big companies hope to benefit from greater expansion portfolios.
“Direct excited polishing screens for fertilizers” – the article from page 46 on describes an interesting modernization project in Bulgaria. One of the leading manufacturers of nitrogen fertilizers in South-East Europe and one of the leaders in the production of phosphorus fertilizers on the Balkan peninsula, Agropolychim AD, faced the task to upgrade a well-aged polishing screen and to improve the product quality to meet today’s standards.
From page 52, you will find the second part of the article “Mobile Mineral Processing Equipment: The State of the Art”. This article resulted from the research work within the context of the FAME project – Flexible And Mobile Economic processing technologies.
