Armoured face conveyor sold

RAG Mining Solutions GmbH recently sold an armoured face conveyor with extensive additional equipment to a German hard limestone quarry (Fig.). The dismantled equipment from the processing sector of the closed Lippe colliery is now being used again in an ultra-modern quarry.

Coal is a bulk product and conveyor and treatment processes are not just carried out in the hard coal mining industry. “Our German customers also come from these industries, particularly the stone and earth industry,” says Andreas Wienkotte, who works in the sales department surface equipment. In the hard limestone quarry, the limestone is initially collected in a stone quarry. Then it is processed. The raw product is broken up, ground and classified using screens. For this purpose, the customer was looking for a cost-effective alternative by RAG Mining Solutions  to a completely new installation. After viewing the assembled plant at the mine, the decision was made to have the used plant equipment overhauled and integrated into the new planned installation.
