4th Symposium “Raw material efficiency and raw material innovations”
The symposium „Raw material efficiency and raw material innovations” will take place in the Tutzing Protestant Academy already for the 4th time on 17th and 18th February 2016. The sustainable handling of natural resources will be one of the important tasks of the future. Availability bottlenecks and volatile raw material prices require clear innovations in the field of raw materials and, consequently, the necessary processes become an important economic factor. One important goal must be to clearly increase the resource efficiency and to optimize the value creation of the products, but also of the primary products, made out of the resources.
The aim of the symposium is to present and discuss resource efficiency measures as well as strategies and technologies depending on the industries and materials. In addition to the raw materials for iron and steel production and non-ferrous metals, above all, the industrial minerals potash and rock salts as well as rocks and associated products will be in the focus. The main areas will be raw material securing, recycling and secondary raw materials, new processing technologies and environmental control measures. The symposium is to contribute to the scientific-technical exchange of views relating to the topic of raw material efficiency and resource optimization, and also to bring together the people concerned from industry, politics and society, research, development and application relating to “raw materials”. It will be a platform for communication and discussion for partners from the most different fields of raw materials. Technology trends as well as established technologies, possibilities of promotion and economic prospects as regards innovative products or processes will be presented and discussed.
