International Mineral Processing Congress 2012
It is a great honour for the mineral engineering fraternity in India to host the XXVI International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC) in New Delhi/India from 24 to 28 September 2012, when IMPC will be celebrating its diamond jubilee. IMPC has been an excellent forum for the professionals from the industry, academia and the research institutions to meet and together deliberate on the challenges, opportunities and advances made in the field of mineral processing. This outstanding event in the field of mineral processing will for the first time take place in India. The Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers (IIME) and The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) will be organizing the XXVI IMPC in collaboration with and support from other professional organizations and industry. Land, energy and water are extremely scarce resources in India. The theme for IMPC 2012 is therefore titled “Innovative Processing for Sustainable Growth”. Besides covering the basic scientific developments in the field, IMPC 2012 will also focus on technological developments in some of the industrial segments specific to India.
The technical exhibition organized as a part of IMPC showcases the new process technologies, instruments and equipment and provides an occasion to make and/or renew professional contacts and build business relationships. The International Mineral Processing Expo (IMPE) 2012 is expected to have participation from over 20 countries including “who is who” from India. IMPE 2012 will be an ideal platform for technology transfer, business meets and joint ventures for identifying potential investors to boost industrial production, collaboration and international trade.
