Metso to supply crushing equipment to Venezuela

Metso has signed a contract with Camargo Corrêa and Hydro­logic Company to supply equipment to the new crushing and screening plant in Venezuela. The new plant is part of the TUY-IV project, which includes the construction of a dam to supply water to ­Caracas. The project will be built in the northern part of the Acevedo Municipality of Miranda State in Venezuela. In addition to equipment, the contract includes supervision services. The value of the order is some 10 million €. According to the contract, Metso will supply a complete stationary crushing and screening plant (Fig.) as well as spare parts and automation systems. The contract also includes assembly supervision. Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012 and the project start-up is expected to occur in the same year. The complete order comprises two C140 jaw crushers, two HP4 cone crushers, a HP400 cone crusher, TS2.2 and Vibraline 60“x72“ screens, two TS5.2 screens, two TS6.2 screens, two Barmac vertical shaft impactors, three belt feeders, a structure forstationary crushing plant for HP400 cone crusher, and several belt conveyors. The nominal production capacity of the plant will be 800 t/h.
