New general manager at Atlas Copco

With effect from 01.03.2011, Joeri Ooms (1967) has been appointed new General Manager at Atlas Copco Kompressoren und Drucklufttechnik GmbH based in Essen (Fig.). Ooms joined Atlas Copco in 1994 and started his career in Belgium. In 2002 he became Business Line Manager Industrial Air for Belgium and Luxemburg, and in 2007 Ooms moved to the Czech Republic as General Manager of the compressors company there. From November 2009 he managed the businesses in the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Slovak Republic. Joeri Ooms takes over the post of General Manager in Germany from Eric Langmans, who has joined Atlas Copco (Wuxi) Compressors Co. Ltd. in China as General Manager with effect from 1.02.2011.
