Strong seat for heavy-duty service
Rough terrain, sand, rock, rock debris, broken stone – anyone who wants to drive a vehicle in the field of mining has to be a professional, must be able to control his machine and has to concentrate completely. With this kind of work, on the one hand, extreme accelerations has an impact on the seat, on the other hand, these are vehicles with very high mileages, running in shifts. The more this impact can be cushioned, the better the driver is able to withstand these difficult conditions. The comfort seat MSG 97 AL/742 (Fig.) presented by GRAMMER AG at the bauma 2010 is particularly user friendly and optimally equipped from the ergonomic point of view. The wide guide spring suspension has been designed to withstand the strains of the driver’s seat by means of the heavy multi-function armrests and the control lever carriers. Thus, the comfort seat can take a load of up to 30 kg on either side. An automatic positioning system enables easy adjustment of the seat. The longitudinal adjustment is variable over a distance of 210 mm. The particularly long and well-shaped backrest can be inclined up to 8 °, thus providing an optimum back and lateral support due to its deliberate lateral contour. A pneumatic lumbar vertebra support not only ensures an ideal posture at the touch of a button but also prevents damage to the discs. The height and inclination of the headrest can be adjusted individually. In addition, the seating depth and height can be varied according to the requirements. Optionally the comfort seat is available with a lap seatbelt and heating.
