New dimensions in demolition

At the bauma 2010 the LST Group presented a completely new attachment developed for demolition and dismantling – the Demolator of the XMB series (Fig.). This unit, which is powerful in primary demolition of reinforced concrete, in heavy industry dismantling and in cutting of steel structures, revolutionizes the concept of demolition scissors, steel scissors and pulverizers. “The Demolator crushes the material already during primary demolition so that it can be fed to a crushing plant without any further treatment. Thus, our customers save the step of pulverizing at site and achieve cost savings and an increase in efficiency of more than 30  %”, explained Michael Schwienbacher, active partner of the LST Group. The XMB series with its kits offers the right tool for any application. Furthermore, all models feature a patented, hydraulic and fully auto­matic changing system that ensures the quick change of teeth. Three types of teeth are available for the series:

• Kit of punching teeth for two-dimensional crushing of concrete and all-round cutting of the reinforcement

• Kit of tripod crushing teeth for concrete crushing

• Kit of steel demolition teeth for the efficient dismantling of steel structures.
