Sensor-Based Sorting 2010
Symposium in Aachen/Germany, 09.-11.03.2010Symposium in Aachen/Germany, 09.–11.03.2010
From 9th to 11th March 2010 the fourth symposium “Sensorgestützte Sortierung” (Sensor-Based Sorting) will take place in the Eurogress Aachen. The topics covered will be new developments and applications in the field of automatic sorting technology for the processing of primary and secondary raw materials. The event will be organized by the Department of Material Processing of the RWTH Aachen University and the GDMB German Society of Mining, Metallurgy, Raw Materials and Environmental Technology. The professors Thomas Pretz and Hermann Wotruba will be responsible for the scientific management of the symposium. The lectures will deal exclusively with such sorting processes, which by means of an intelligent sensor technology detect the different features of the feed and selectively discharge positively recognized constituents. Amongst other things, progress in sorting of minerals, scrap metals, plastics, waste paper, substitute fuels, packaging waste and cullet will be dealt with comprehensively. The event will include an exhibition of company presentations where the participants will receive a general idea of the latest technologies of sensor-based sorting.
