Conquering the market with heavy-duty brand machinery
AWR Abbruch GmbH is one of the leading service providers for the demolition sector. A company fleet of machines with over 10 mini-excavators, 40 full-size excavators, crushers and screens, crawlers, rollers, low-loaders as well as five long-front excavators, including the largest long-front excavator in Germany with a working height of 45 m, guarantees the specialist company trouble-free completion of EU-tendered projects. Two Sandvik RC6 nippers were already part of the AWR range. In September 2009 Sandvik Mining and Construction supplied a Sandvik BR7013 CITY hydraulic hammer (Fig.) to AWR Abbruch GmbH, which used the 7-tonne hydraulic hammer for the first time for deconstruction work on the former AGFA site in Neu-Isenburg. First a 35-m-high structure built with reinforced concrete was demolished. The hammer was used to break up the 5 000-m2-large and 2.5-m-thick base plate. By the end of 2009, around 220 000 m3 enclosed space will have been deconstructed, 70 000 m3 building rubble processed and recycled, 3 000 t steel recycled, and contaminated soil disposed of at this site.
